Essaouira - the perfect blend of land and sea!

Bahaar is the showcase of the wonders of Morocco all the details of colors, architecture and craftsmanship are carefully selected to create unique pieces, like our culture.

This time around, we would like to pay tribute to the sea, our source of inspiration in all of our collections. This is why we are taking you to Essaouira, the city with the perfect harmony between land and sea !

Formerly called Mogador by the Portuguese, Essaouira is located in the south of Morocco. The latter is known to be calm and soothing. Only the song of the seagulls orchestrates this port city.

Essaouira is known for its cultural diversity. Indeed, different populations have rubbed shoulders in harmony, and that for centuries!

Each year it seduces its visitors with its old style of archictecture well preserved as well as by its history.

Among the must-see places to visit:

The Medina

To visit Essaouira is to immerse yourself in ancestral customs of Morocco. To do this, nothing better than a walk in the medina! The latter is an emblematic place of Essaouira and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.

As soon as you enter, you will be spellbound by the perfectionism of pottery craftsmen, the scents of hand-ground spices and the beauty of oriental lanterns. Enough to invigorate your five senses!
